Jester is a trading name of Jester Consulting Limited, who are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of your personal information. Because of that, this policy sets out where and how we collect your personal information, as well as your rights over any personal information we hold about you, and how to make a complaint.

The type of personal data we collect

We currently collect and process the following information, when voluntarily provided by you:

How we use your information

The information we collect will be used depending on which of the following activities you are a user:

  • Subscribing to our newsletter By subscribing to our newsletter, you are opting in for email updates containing useful resources, articles and information related to the topic of leadership, as well as news and promotions from Jester. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.
  • Leadership development and coaching services We will use your personal data to contact you in relation to the leadership development and coaching services you request from us, and any activities relating to these services (eg. invoicing, book subscriptions, etc.)

Under no circumstances will we ever share your information with any third party companies for marketing purposes. Delivering our services to you may require sharing your information with third parties who have been carefully selected by us to fulfil specific activities, such as invoicing or database management, and will always be managed in line with GDPR principles.

Using our services

If you have requested our services, we will hold your details in order to provide these services. We will only use these details to provide the service you have requested and send regular communication related to those services. The kind of personal information we hold will depend on the nature of each service or project, however, if you provide information related to your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity we will request your consent to process it. For example, you might share such information as part of a piece of personal reflection in the context of developing your professional practice. We will retain your information for as long as you are receiving our services and for a period of four years after to comply with applicable law and our legitimate interest.

Before providing personal information to you or another person on your behalf, we may ask for proof of identity and sufficient information about your interactions with us that we can locate your personal information.

  • Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
